About Our Institution
Empowering the Youth of Ladakh for a Brighter Tomorrow
Located in the heart of Leh, Ladakh Model Boys Higher Secondary School is one of the oldest schools in Leh District which was established in 1920. The school was affiliated to JKBOSE and was upgraded to the status of Hr. Sec. School in 1970. Since then, it has been the alma matter of many officers of the erstwhile Union Territory of Ladakh as well as the Central Govt, apart from successes in other fields. Further in 2023, our school was affiliated to CBSE.
Our school is located in Leh town at an altitude of 3524 meters.
Play Field Development & Achievements
The total compound/premises size is 222234 sqft out of which occupied by building area is 44447sqft, others 17779 sqft, open space 26668 sqft and 'playground' 133340 sqft.
Basketball court ('others', as mentioned above) with concrete material completed in October, 2020. Football ground, volleyball court, handball court also exists in school which, however, needs to be developed further in terms of ground levelling. In this regard (ground-levelling), District Youth Services and Sports office, Leh has committed to provide funds of Rs. 10 lakh each to every Hr. Sec. Schools in Leh. For this, measurements has already been done by the same office.

NCC Room
Ladakh Model Boys Hr Sec School, Leh have both the senior and junior wings of National Cadets Corps with an enrolment of more than 100 students in both the wings.
Atal Tinkering Lab
An innovation hub equipped with electronics, microcontrollers, and DIY tools for students to build prototypes and bring their creative technical ideas to life.
